BRANDON POLLARD
Brandon Pollard (SHS Class of 2014). Champion, Passionate, Record-Holder.
Brandon Pollard’s impressive athletic career is a testament to his passion, perseverance, and
leadership. From an early age, Brandon demonstrated exceptional talent across multiple
sports before focusing on running and skiing. At Sisters High School, Brandon made a lasting
impact on the track and cross country programs. He still holds the SHS records in the 800m,
the 1500m, and the mile, winning the Class 4A State Championship in the 800m and finishing
in the top three multiple times. His accomplishments earned him numerous all-league and
all-state honors, solidifying his reputation as one of Oregon's top distance runners. He
excelled academically and as an IEE intern, among other activities. Brandon's journey
continued at Division 1 Gonzaga University as an 800m and 1500m specialist. He
represented Team USA internationally, earning a silver medal at the Junior Pan American
Games. His commitment to education also earned him recognition as a two-time Academic
All-American. He retains the Gonzaga 800m record and is top five all-time in the 1500m and
mile, while earning both his BA and MA (Sport and Athletic Administration) at Gonzaga.
Beyond his athletic achievements, Brandon has dedicated himself to mentoring young
athletes, serving as a coach and counselor. Now teaching in Mukilteo, WA, he continues to
inspire the next generation through education and the running community.
